Produce availability in the Gascoyne is defined by the seasons. Between May and October the region produces an abundant array of fresh fruit and vegetables, and outside of these months very specific lines are grown (for example mango season runs from November to January). Seafood is available from March – November. Annual weather aberrations may also have a slight affect on exact dates that specific produce is available.
The Gascoyne Food Council has formed a partnership with restaurants in the Perth metropolitan area to supply them with Gascoyne seasonal produce.
